Website not showing field for coupon codes

I have given family members a coupon code to use to get a 15% discount when they purchase online.  However, someone tried to buy something from my website on her phone today and the "Add gift card field" did not accept the coupon code.  

I've noticed that when I access my website from my phone the field simply says "Add gift card" however, if I access the website from my laptop the field says "Add coupon or gift card" - and on the website the coupon code works.

 

Why would this be happening?  Does the phone app version of the website really have less functionality that the laptop version?

I’d love to help here but if you share the coupon code and your website everyone will see it - Have you thought about setting up a new coupon code to see if that sorts the issue - Lots happened when (weebly/ web coupons Vouchers etc) and gift cards all moved to the same area of the Square Brwoser Dashboard -  away from the (weebly part of Square) If you get my gist.

I discovered the problem. I already had a discount automatically associated with this particular product, and the software doesn’t allow for two discounts/coupons for one product. So the coupon code field doesn’t appear. 
A bit frustrating as I’ll have to find a workaround but at least I understand the problem. 👍🏼

A work around could be that you set up a payment link for that item and get family to message you when they want to buy that particular product - you add the discount - then send the link. That assuming you don’t have offers on offers. It’s all set up to stop abuse and fraud so you don’t up with a dispute - like when you watch a TV show where  someone uses coupons and vouchers and they get the product for practically nothing. Glad you found the glitch.
