Website Radio and color options for modifiers

When setting up Item options for a square website, there are three display choices to choose from of Dropdowns, Radios, or Colors.  We love the clean, compact design the colors give on our site.  When trying to use multiple option sets, we quickly reach our limit of total number of options.  Unfortunately, option sets add different pricing for each possible option.  This is silly to add pricing to option sets which do not change the price.

Modifiers do allow for a much greater number of option possibilities.  Modifiers, however, don't appear to give us a choice of display.  It defaults to checkboxes for multiple selections or drop downs for single selections.

Is there a way to have these same display options of radios or colors for single selection modifiers?  We much prefer the simple clean look of the color choice from option sets over the older dropdown lists that modifiers give.

HI, I do understand about the Option Sets, Options and Pricing and Variations.  I quickly had to think outside the box for my personalized gifts.  It can be time consuming but it can work.  Apply the cost option first, then each additional option as needed.

ex. Personalized T-Shirt

The shirt size determines price.  Colors and added Text does not.  (with the Color selection option be sure to select Settings and make the option mandatory)

Modifiers in my ex. Personalized T-Shirt are the required Text boxes shown.  You can have as many Modifiers as you need and can be reused for multiple items, just check mark the box to apply.

Hopefully this makes sense.  You can send a screenshot or link if you like.

Hope This Helps!

Thank you for your response.  We are very familiar with the modifiers.  Most of our items have multiple modifier sets.

It is not a question of how to use them but rather of requesting a method for changing the way they display on the website.

Your example has a drop down box and check boxes.  It has neither of the radio options or the color choice, options.

we are trying to get away from the multiple drop downs.

the first image shows the radio options with the size.  Immediately below are two very compact and clean looking color option sets.  The second image shows several dropdown boxes.  Each of those drop downs has 5-7 selection choices.

we want the whole site to have the clean compact look of the colored option groups and get away from the drop down boxes.

(Edit) the colored radio options are option sets onthe item.  The drop downs are modifiers.

HI, thanks so much for the screenshots.  I see the issue.  Square Online is not equipped for streamlined variations.  It is possible to incorporate each variation into one done manually for each possible variation.

Small choice 1, Temperature, Drink Type, Milk Option, Extra Shots, Whip Cream

Small choice 2, Temperature, Drink Type, Milk Option, Extra Shots, Whip Cream

Small choice 3, Temperature, Drink Type, Milk Option, Extra Shots, Whip Cream

Small choice 4, Temperature, Drink Type, Milk Option, Extra Shots, Whip Cream

Small choice 5, Temperature, Drink Type, Milk Option, Extra Shots, Whip Cream

repeat for Medium

repeat for Large

Not an option I'm sure.

Hope This Helps!

HI, you have done very well for sure.  It seems clunky as you have it, but remember you are too close to evaluate it.  I am not familiar with the pricey coffees but believe that others expect different options and selections and know it beforehand.  It looks good.

Hope This Helps!
