Unexpected pop up behaviour

I've got a pop up set to display once per visit - however when this is showing on every page load. 

It's currently not possible to link to the order page (/s/order) as an internal page so it has to be linked as an external page. 

Having an 'order now' button linked to the ordering page on my pop up currently means this cycle:

Loads homepage. 
pop up

clicks 'order now' 

loads order page

pop up

clicks 'order now' 

loads order page

clicks..... well, you get it. 

I've removed the link, so clicking order now just exits the popup - but it's not the expected or 'correct' way the pop up should be working. 

I've disabled & deleted all other popups.

Hi @Sam_400º, that does sound quite strange. Would you mind letting me know aside from the display frequency, what's the timing and stopping conditions for the pop-up? And additionally, has the cookie been accepted on the website before the customer continues on to the order page? I want to reproduce the issue on our end and check in with the relevant team to see how we can stop this behaviour.

Ah @tranguyen - when trying to get to the bottom of it I'd not even thought of the cookie settings! 

After clicking the to accept this removes the problem (I'd prefer not to have to click that to make it work - but guess that's just they way it all is these days with cookies etc.).
