Troubleshooting Category Display Issues on Square Online

Hi there,

I’m experiencing an issue with my Square Online site. I’ve created new categories in my Square Dashboard and assigned visible items to them, but they are not showing up in the “Select Featured Categories” section of my website editor. Instead, I still see old/deleted categories (like “Stud Earrings” and “Dangle Earrings”) that I’ve already removed.

I’ve tried re-publishing my site, refreshing the editor, clearing my cache, and even checking item assignments. Everything looks correct in the Dashboard, but the Online Editor hasn’t updated to reflect these changes. Please let me know how I can resolve this.

Hi @MTL!

One common reason for categories not appearing correctly on Square Online sites is due to issues with the address formatting of the physical location linked to the site.

Here’s what you can do to fix it:

1. In your Square Dashboard, go to Settings > Account & Settings > My Business > Locations.

2. Select your Location from the list and click Edit Location.

3. Make sure the location is set to Physical.

4. Copy the address you've entered for this location and paste it into Google Search to check the correct format.

5. Copy the correct address format and paste it back into your Square Location settings, then Save.

6. Make sure the category you're trying to feature is available at this location.

7. Go back to your Edit Site page and re-add the category to the Featured Category section.

My Featured Categories on my home page all successfully display on a phone but not on a desk top computer.  I can't seem to find a place to make an edit to assure the categories display.  Thanks!
