Transferring a Square Retail Website?

We have sold our business, and were able to successfully transfer our catalog to the new owners.

 

But our square retail website is not transferring. Does anyone have advice on how to deal with this (besides rebuilding the entire website from scratch)?

 

We have over 15000 items.

The short answer: At this time, there isn’t a way to cleanly transfer a completed Square Online website from one Square account to another. 

While it’s possible to transfer a website domain (with assistance from our Support Team), the new owner would still need to create their own Square Online site and rebuild it based on the website you originally designed.

To make this process a little easier, you can share details about your current site theme, layout, and settings so the new owner can replicate the look and functionality as closely as possible.

When transferring a domain, some steps will need to be completed in your Square account and others by the new business owner in theirs. For this reason, it’s best to start by contacting our Support Team for specific guidance on the smoothest way to complete the transfer.
