Transferring Square Online Domain Out of Square

The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: "Purchased a domain from Square and now trying to use it with BigCartel"

I've been back and forth with Square and BigCartel for at least a week now trying to figure this out but I purchased a domain from Square (I had a Square site) and am now trying to use that .com domain in BigCartel (I've moved my website to BigCartel).

I've added the CNAME in the DNS Records, Host: www, Points to: name.bigcartel.com 

Under "Edit site destination" I have "Disconnect from my current site".

When I type in "www.name.com" my store works and is connected to BigCartel.

When I type in "name.com" I get an error: "This site can't be reached. DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN"

So basically I'm trying to get my website to show up when I type the name without "www" in front of it. Square said I need to contact BigCartel. BigCartel said I need to change the settings in Square (did not give specifics)...

If you need to review the steps for transferring your domain out of Square, you can do so here in our Support Center. However, once the domain has been transferred to BigCartel, you'll need to work with their support team for further assistance, as Square will no longer have ownership of the domain.

It’s important to know that most domain transfers will take approximately 7-10 days to complete. You’re also welcome to simply update the nameservers for your domain to provide a new host with full DNS control. Changing your nameservers can sometimes involve less hassle than transferring your domain away.

Note: Making any changes to your registrant contact information (name, address, email, phone number) will result in a 60-day registrar lock, during which you’ll be unable to transfer your domain. If you wish to transfer your domain right away, do not update your registrant contact information.
