I have the tipping prompt turned off in my team member portion, but it still prompts. Can you turn it off for certain log ins or?
Hey there, @Kwbeauty. 👋 Just jumping in for Maya here!
The tip eligibility toggle you mentioned is part of the tip pooling feature within Shifts Plus. This feature allows you to equally divide each credit card tip among all team members clocked in at the time of a transaction.
Currently, there is no employee permission setting that enables you to turn the tipping feature on or off at checkout for specific employees. If you disable tipping at checkout, it will turn off the ability to accept tips for all team members.
To manage tips effectively, I recommend the following:
This setup will allow all team members to accept tips, but only those with tip eligible toggled on will be eligible to have tips pooled and divided among them.
Apologies for any confusion. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can assist you with!
Hey there @Kwbeauty, I see this is your first post. Welcome! 😊
To better assist I would like to get more details. Is this the tip setting you have turned off for your team?
Can you check if the tip setting is enabled on your app settings? Go to More > Settings > Checkout > Tipping > Collect Tips.
It is turned on, I do want two of my team log ins to have the tipping option. Then my log in, it says I can choose "tip ineligible", which I did but when logged in it still asks my customers if they want to me. Maybe Im misunderstanding. Do I have to turn the "collect tips" off? If I do, will that turn off tips for everyone? Can it be individually set for specific people to receive tips and not others?
