Tipping & Square store integrated delivery

I recently tried to use the integrated delivery system with Square & postmates. For the most part it was working OK (though the delivery range is more limited than manually creating a Postmates delivery request). 

However, I discovered after looking at my account recently that the "Tip" that customers give in the store GOES TO THE DRIVER. I think it is great for drivers to get tips, but customers think this is going to the store!!! It absolutely needs to be clarified that this tip does NOT go to me but goes to the driver so customers are aware. 

I have turned off the integrated delivery system because we get quite large tips (intended for us). 

I would love it if there was a way for the customer to tip the store and the driver separately other than tipping the driver in cash, since most folks are doing contactless drop off these days.

I moved your post here where other sellers had similar questions regarding tipping on pickup & delivery. When it comes to customizing two sets of tips, one for the driver and one for the store, Postmates is a third party integration so we don't have the ability to set this up separately. I suggest contacting Postmates to ask them if there is  way to customize this setting on their end.

It was not clear to me that the tips were going to the drivers, they were tips intended for our store. You can't control what postmates does, but you can communicate more clearly to Square users that they will be losing this money and you can communicate via the UI to customers that this goes to the driver and not the store.

I get where your coming from and understand why this is frustrating @AngelCakes. If this option with our tipping feature ever does become available we will make sure to let you know. When it comes to clarifying how our tipping feature work in conjunction with Postmates, I'm happy to send this over to the right department.

Yes, I won't be able to use the integrated delivery feature until it is clear that this tip is going to the driver and not our store. That is a user interface issue.
