Hi!
I own an ice cream shop, which is officially closed for the winter off season, however we will be selling some items for pre-orders when we are closed.
Right now for customers to be able to place an order on our online site, we have to show that we are open on Square, or else our online site says closed and not accepting orders.
Is there a way that I can adjust our hours on Square to show that we are closed, but can still take pre-orders?
I have these items set up as pre-orders in their item settings. Right now my work around is to have our hours for fulfillment from 5am - 11pm.... hoping that people realize that we aren't actually open during these times. Thanks
Hey @SSBIceCream! That’s a great question. I confirmed with our Square Online team, and it isn’t currently possible to turn off your hours while still accepting pre-orders.
With the standard Square Online setup, you could add a pop-up letting customers know you’re closed but still accepting pre-orders. For now, this would be a feature request — and I agree, the way you’ve set up your items on your site is the best approach for the time being.
If you need anything else feel free to tag me. And by the way, turning an old bank into an ice cream shop is such a creative idea — love that! 🍦

You'll never see the people again. If they are google mapping your place and going there if it says you're open. This is a really poor glitch issue to find in square for the price we pay for the service. "Hoping they realize you're not really Open"
will lose you customers, or at the very least cause them significant inconvenience. This is not what I expected from square.
