Store very slow to load and check out

My store is so slow to load I’m afraid I’ll get customers just giving up. When you press the cart to have a look it takes about 30 seconds to eventually come up. I only have six items as I’ve just opened it. So many problems. Feel like ditching it! Anyone else?

Do you happen to have a cloudflare account setup to use with your site?  The free account is fine to use and you should see noticeable difference in load times from the get go.
