Store Credit

So we have been asking for a store credit on the retail POS for EVER!  I don't understand why this is not done yet?  It's a no brainer.  every system should be able to do it.  other pos systems have it, it should be a staple action.   What is the update on this please!!

I can totally see the need for a feature like this and how beneficial it could be for customers and sellers. At this time Square does not offer a feature that will allow store credit to be given to customers. I'll be happy to move this over to a feature request board so that our engineers have visibility of your suggestion. We appreciate you sharing your request. While there is no time frame for when it will be implemented, i'm happy to make sure our engineers have eyes on your request.

I couldn’t agree more! This is the only POS system we’ve ever used that doesn’t have one, and with our third location in the works we’re considering switching systems because it’s become impossible to accurately track client deposits in a way that holds employees accountable (aside from entering them as ‘purchases’, which they technically are not). Because of this, we have to manually enter each transaction into bookkeeping software. It’s 2023, Square needs to listen to its users.
