Square saying Items Delivered from Printful but they aren't

So I sell merch thru Printful, and customers are getting emails from Square saying the items have been delivered, when Printful sends me an email saying they have just been sent. 

 

I am assuming there is some glitch from when Printful sends a notification to me saying they have been dispatched, Square thinks it has been delivered. Has anyone come across this and found a solution?

Hey, @ChickenRacer ! 

 

What’s happening is that Square doesn’t directly track shipping status from Printful.  It only reacts to the fulfillment updates it receives. When Printful marks an order as fulfilled, that status is passed through to Square. Square interprets “fulfilled” as “delivered,” which is why your customers are getting the wrong email notification. 

 

The current workaround is to adjust your fulfillment settings so orders aren’t marked as “completed” in Square until delivery is confirmed, or to switch off Square’s automated fulfillment emails and instead rely on Printful’s shipping confirmations. 

 

I know this can be super confusing, but right now this is how the two function together.

ive just stared using prihtful as well on the square online platform. when customers place an order do you have to manually enter it to prihtful or is it automatically going there? im running into an issue where my orders are not getting sent to printful and I have to manually enter them support says its something to do with a reference id not sure what im doing wrong

I set it up thru Printful, and it just worked for me I must admit!  It did drop out for awhile there, I can't remember which side fixed it, but I just kep annoying them haha
