Square Plus/Online new pricing $49/mo only option?

Just noticed the updated Square Plus pricing showing as $49/month.

I work with food businesses that mainly use Square Online for pickup and delivery. Most of them just need to connect their domain and don’t need the full suite of square products like loyalty, etc.

I’m getting a lot of questions about whether the $16/month or $29/month plans still exist. I haven’t seen them lately, so I’m wondering if the $49 plan is now the only option for Square Online sites.

Has anyone seen an Online-only upgrade option or a client-facing plan that’s different?

Just trying to make sure I’m pointing clients in the right direction before updating my guides.

Thanks in advance for any insight!

Hey there @websitechicks.. So, yes, Square consolidated Square Online into three tiers -- Free, Plus and Premium.  Here's a link to the most current price sheet I can find.  I remember when they announced this about a year ago and all of the chatter that surrounded it.  For better or worse, the tiers are now $0, $49 and $149 per month.  I'm pretty sure that, even if pricing might change, the three tier structure is what they were aiming for as a more or less permanent solution.

The Plus tier is not the only option, of course, unless a seller needs a custom URL or other functionality that only exists in that tier.  There were a number of formerly paid features that moved to the free tier, but there were also a number of formerly free features that now require fees.  Hopefully, this shifting is completed and we have something rather fixed.
