Hi Square Community ๐
I'd like to formally request that Square Online add native support for Google Customer Reviews (formerly Google Trusted Stores) opt-in on the order confirmation page.
Right now, implementing this requires placing a script on the post-checkout confirmation page with dynamic variables like order_id, customer email, and estimated delivery date. Unfortunately, Square Online's custom tracking code feature applies site-wide and doesn't expose these order-specific variables โ making it effectively impossible to implement without a native integration.
This is something sellers on Shopify, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce have had working for years, and it's a meaningful trust signal that directly impacts conversion rates. Google Customer Reviews badges and seller ratings show up in Google Shopping and Search ads, which makes this especially valuable for anyone running Google Ads.
What I'm asking for โ one of the following:
1. A native Google Customer Reviews integration
2. OR access to order variables (order_id, customer_email, delivery_date) in the receipt page custom code area, so sellers can implement it themselves
This is a well-documented feature that Google provides for free through Google Merchant Center. Square just needs to expose the right hooks.
I know I'm not alone in wanting this โ there have been similar requests going back to at least 2021 with no resolution. Would love to see this on the roadmap.
Thanks for reading โ please upvote if this matters to your business too! ๐
