Hello, I'm a website designer that works for Square Online sellers.
One of my clients sells dozens of pre-sale (physical) items, e.g. albums, with various receiving and shipping dates. Tracking and fulfilling these orders is time consuming.
Is there a way to easily identify the pre-sale items orders/customers and manage fulfillment when the items are received, either via custom POS reporting or a third party integrated app?
Many thanks for any helpful advice or guidance.
Hello @taylorandjones
At this time I believe the safest bet would be to include the words Presale or Pre-Order to the item title so that you can filter under transactions. This is the only way to filter because at this time Orders can only be filtered by status.
I hope this information is helpful!
Thank you @JJ_ for your helpful advice!
I tested some order reports:
Square Online > Orders > Export
This report includes the order number which is very helpful!
Square (POS) Orders > (filter source) > Export
This report includes some data, including an order number.
The Square (POS) Transactions reports (Transactions CSV, Items Detail CSV, Items Summary CSV) include a lot of useful data, including SKUs and links to the transactions in some of these reports. When opened, the Transaction detail window displays the Order Source (order number), but this method takes several steps.
It would be awesome if –
The (POS) Transaction reports included the complete "Order Source" data, which would include the online order number.
Screenshot is attached, fyi.
Thank you for your time and attention!
