Square Online Ordering troubles

Hello. I own a deli and we are doing sandwiches on our website. It was going great for a few months but unfortunately there has been some hiccups recently. When someone places an order, it won't print out for sometimes 5 minutes or more which is very troublesome since we're trying to serve people as best we can. Occasionally the order won't even print at all.  I've tried unplugging and restarting and all that but it seems like the printer is always a step behind. Has anyone experienced this?

Yeah, that delay has happened to me in the past as well. Frustrating doesn't begin to cover my feelings on it. 😕

 

Make sure your app is fully updated first and foremost. Square has done a bit on the back end to make sure things like the printing lag don't happen, and if you don't have the latest and greatest it can definitely cause some funky behaviors. While you're updating, definitely make sure you're on the latest version of the OS (iOS or Android). Same thing: there are behind the scene tweaks that can cause wierdness.

 

Next thing to try if the lag is still there is to delete the printer station, force close and restart the app, and add the station back in, reconfiguring as needed. (You do have the system set up to Automatically Print the order, right?)
