Square Integration with Meta and Google Issues

The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: Help, can't get Square to integrate with Meta & Google for online shopping...plus other grumbles

I've been trying since fall of 2025 to integrate my website with other platforms so it can be seen and shopped with across Google and Meta (both FB and Insta). I can't get the Google and Meta sales channel integration to work properly. From the help articles I've read and past threads in the community both Square and the other marketplaces point at each other saying I need to get with the other. So, I've been running in circles trying to figure out what needs to be done. I've also tried using the Local Ads on Google inventory (aka pointy), which was partially syncing, but now that's being kicked back by Google. Almost all my inventory isn't displaying correctly and is being flagged in one way or another. As far as Meta goes, I'm stuck trying to get the shopping cart to test correctly

Has anyone had any luck with using square to cross sell (and actually get orders) through Google and Meta? If not, can you recommend a plugin/service that can help? I don't have coding experience, and it's been a bit frustrating having a website but not being able to cross promote it for sales across other platforms or have low sales for it.

Hi @LevelZeroSeven, I first wanted to welcome you to the Square Community!

I am sorry to hear that you have been having all these issues though.

I wish I had better news on my side about this, but I have reached out to our Operations teams on this before and unfortunately they do say it is a Meta or Google issue. Our hands are a bit tied on this as we offer limited support when it comes to integrations.

A potentially helpful point is, do you by chance have any screenshots of the error messages that are specifically coming from the Square/Weebly side? If so, please feel free to leave them here and I can even send them to our Operations teams to take a look.

On the Meta integration side the answer is incorrect. I have been going back and forth for over a year with Square. Meta changed it's checkout requirements and, in my simple words, now requires ecommerce sites to accept a dynamic link to accept the order on your Square (or other) ecommerce site. Unfortunately, after spending HOURS with Square support, Square has no answer or plans to update it's commerce platform to comply unlike Shopify, Wix and others who have already made the adjustment. Their answer to to suggest adding an intermediary/API service for, of course, more money per month, from their app store - not sure about anyone else, but the idea of spending another $15-25 per month ($180-300 per year) to fix a feature they marketed isn't in my budget (maybe Square should work with one of them and figure out how to integrate it for all of us).  The beauty of Square WAS it was real easy for a non-technical/IT person to manage everything from one spot. It's why I went with the premium plan....and now Square is not providing one of the key features they sold me on in early 2025. Franky, I'm disappointed that Square operations hasn't updated their community facilitators that this is still an ongoing issue....and they need to provide their customers an answer on WHEN the Square platform will have an answer. I am seriously looking at other platforms just to get this feature back because more fees, API integrations, etc., aren't something this micro-business is set up to manage.

Thank you for this. All my research that I've done on my own directly points to what you're saying. We simply don't get the sales from our website alone, which is why I was looking for branch out to host our same inventory on other marketplace sites. Everything I've seen shows that you have to have a third-party app to sync that, and the several that I've seen have limit and restrictions unless you pay for the additional tier.

At this time, I do have Meta and Google set up on our account, but they aren't complete and don't produce sales and I have a feeling it's due in part to Square's lack of integration like some of the other similar companies.

While yes, the updates they did in 2026 have made some aspects to my Brick-and-mortar part of my business increasingly easier, it really falls short on the ability to integrate with other sites if you want to branch out to have the ability to sell across multiple platforms.
