Square Image Loading does not work in site Editor and super slow on published site

Ive had consistent issues with the load speeds of images using square online and weebly product. The images always are slow to load from grey boxes. Have addressed so many times with support team and no effective responses. Ive cleared caches, Ive switched networks, switched devices nothing works rendering the site editor useless. It's challenging to edit a website if you can't see what's on the website. 

 

The known stability issues with the weebly product and true lack of technical support have left me incredibly frustrated.  

 

Below you can see the grey boxes that never load the images even after several days they just flash grey and white.

 

Please help

Hi @resiyo, I am sorry to hear that this has been occurring and I can see that this could be a bit frustrating.

 

I reached out to our eCommerce team and they went ahead and cleared a few backend functions. Would you be able to test if that fixed it for you? Our eCommerce team double-checked on your site editor and they said all the images are loading as intended.

 

If for some reason this is not fixed, they also recommended clearing your cache and ensuring you are connected to a strong internet connection again. I know you had mentioned you had tried these things before, but hopefully this will finally fix it for you.

 

Please let me know if this worked! If not, we can keep looking into this.

I am sorry to hear this has not resolved this for you, @resiyo! I reached back out to our eCommerce team and they suggested a few more things. 

 

Are you on a VPN by chance, or do you know if you have any anti-virus programs running? That can occasionally cause issues with image loading too.

 

If this does not help, they also recommended downsizing your image file sizes and re-uploading them, or dispersing your media content across more pages. That way it would be less taxing on your device's processing power and network connection to load the content. 

 

Please give those few suggestions a try and let me know if that solved it for you.

I have no VPN or antivirus programs running in background. I have also already downsized the size of my images they are only kbs from mbs. I have a number of pictures but the product is advertised as a web builder. I pay web builder prices every month yet consistently run into the same issues, Month over month that do not get fixed. I have not had a good customer experience at Square

I understand, @resiyo. I checked in with our eCommerce team and unfortunately they do not have additional troubleshooting tips beyond what has been provided.

 

Our eCommerce team is able to load up the images quickly on their end, which is why there is no way for them to dig in deeper since they are not experiencing the issue. Would you by chance be able to use another device and use a different internet connection on your side to test if that affects it? Something as simple as the device or the internet connection can potentially cause issues.

Hi Sammie,

 

I used another device and connected to an entirely different network. Are the pictures loading for you all on the other pages. Because I feel like every time someone from tech support tries they just see the main page and say all good. It's the other pages outside of the main page that don't load images in the site editor. Can you look again and confirm?
