Some Categories not showing in drop down menu but are active

I have 8 categories, and suddenly only 5 are showing on the drop down menu.  I double checked and the categories and items in them are active.   And all the categories show up in the scroll feed lower down on the page .   https://www.fifthwardcollectibles.com/

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey @fifthward1337.  First, thanks for the URL link.  I was confused about your issue until you gave that.  It seems that you are using the wrong type of sub-menu navigation setting in your website menu bar.  If you go back into the site editor, click anywhere on the header, you’ll be prompted for the type of sub-navigation menus you want — the Dropdown for sub menus of 5 items or less, or the mega for sub menus containing more than 5 subitems.  Just change your type to mega, save and republish and you should be good to go.

It's still not populated with all my categories even after I switched it to the Mega Menu.    I should have

Antiques & oddities

Antique China and kitchenware

Home Decor and Furniture

etc which can be seen

https://www.fifthwardcollectibles.com/shop/antique-china-kitchenware/8?page=1&limit=30&sort_by=categ... the side navigation of other categories

I did not have this issue until I logged on this week so I'm unsure why they aren't showing.

@fifthward1337.  Thanks for trying my suggestion and for reporting back.  I understand about the timing issue you mentioned, and I believe the issue is that something fundamental changed in how we set the category menu up, now.  One more suggestion, and if that doesn’t work, please let me know and I’ll tag a few community moderators to take this to the next level.

Most likely, and understand that I’m guessing right now, even though you change to mega menu format the categories in the link list still only show the five you are seeing.  It looks like you need to click the edit links button below mega menu and then manually add the rest of your categories to that menu.  Then save/republish and I believe you’ll be good to go.

Ok, I think I figured it out, I had to add subcategories to the main categories instead of all the categories being displayed as mains.    Thank you!

If you don't mind my asking, how did you do this? I'm having the same problem with not all the categories showing on the main navigation, even though they are selected automatically.

I think we have to upgrade. I'm using "free" version, and I can only see five : (
