Shipping weight in ounces?

I'm just starting to set up my online store. I'd like to be able to calculate shipping by weight, but I can only list shipping weights by pounds. I'd like to list by ounces. Is this possible?

I can totally see the need for a feature like this and how beneficial it could be for sellers who ship. At this time Square does not offer a feature that will allow shipping in ounces. I'll be happy to move this over to a feature request board so that our engineers have visibility of your suggestion. We appreciate you sharing your request. While there is no time frame for when it will be implemented, i'm happy to make sure our engineers have eyes on your request.

This has come up multiple times over the past 5 years. It's insane that we can't just use ounces or grams as a default shipping unit. USPS DEALS WITH OUNCES FOR SMALL PACKAGES 99.5% OF THE TIME!  Having to come up with some % of a pound for a 7 ounce product is just asinine.  It's fraught with chances for error. Just change the default to ounces / grams and boom. Done. What is this such an issue for square?
