Shipping - only to specific geographic regions

Hey guys one of our revenue streams is frozen foods.  We would like to add shipping to one specific region and it can be defined by postal code ... and NOT allow orders from all other areas.

To be specific - we're 2 hours from a major city - and we can get shipping into that city where we have a lot of our customer base.  We have a list of postal codes available to us.

Also ... there are additional regions we COULD ship to at a higher cost to us and in theory we could down the road add a few other cities also but at a different shipping rate.

Can square do this?  I don't see a way to set it up.

You can set up shipping for different locations in your Dashboard under Fulfillment. If you have any other questions or concerns, let me know. I want to help.

I can add our country (Canada) and then province by province. I don't see a way to have only a certain city or postal code.

Yikes, @AnniesSeafood! I wish I could be of help, but we actually don't ship.

I know @JTPets has *extensive* shipping knowledge and he is so good at all things Square. (And he's Canadian too!) John - any insights?

Sadly there is not a great work around for this in Square, the best suggestion I have is to leverage, shipping, and local delivery. You can set a radius in the local delivery which will help you restrict your shipping region.

I would love to see Square adopt the solution we were using at doordash when I was working there which was octagons on a map, we could plot a stores delivery radius using tiles similar to a game map from Civiliation would expand its borders
