Shipping and Box Sizes

Hi,

I am new to the Square Online. I am trying to figure out the box sizes. I understand how to assign a box per item. However, when a customer buys 3 or 4 different items, apparently I need a bigger box. How will I indicate this new box and assign to that specific purchase? Do I need to indicate box dimensions that I am using for different shipments? Does it matter in terms of real time price calculation and printing the label properly?

When it comes to your shipping boxes, your default box will be used for items that do not have a specific box assigned to them. 

If a customer places an order where more than one box size is needed, the system will group as many of those items in as few of the largest boxes possible.

What about when 3 or 4 of the SAME item is ordered? I need to use a bigger box when multiple of the same item is purchased, but can use my default box when only 1 of those items is purchased.

Welcome to the Community, @sweetbrookfarm - 

Thank you for asking! When it comes to the default box, it will be used when your items don't have a box assigned to them. If a customer places an order where more than one box size is needed, RTS will use multiples of the largest box size needed to accommodate the number and weight of items purchased.
