Shipping Weights with Custom Units

I'm setting up my shop. Items that are sold with the unit each- zero issues setting up shipping weights. Items that are sold with a custom unit will not let me add a shipping weight (I ship my the 1/2 yard). Any suggestions?

Hello @AmieBee and thanks for reaching out to the Square Community with your question. My name is Violet and I'm one of the Moderators here. I'm happy to look into this with you.

Firstly, I want to make sure you've configured your Shipping settings, here, in your Dashboard. Then, you'll need to configure your shipping and fulfilment settings at the item level for each of these items, here, in your Item Library. Scroll down to the section that looks like this:

If you're still having any issues after saving these settings, please let me know. A photo of any error messages you may be seeing would also be helpful 🙂

All of this has already been configured. The issue exits only with custom units (since you guys don't support fractional units I had to create a custom unit). Any standard unit of measure(ea, yd, kg, etc) I can enter a shipping weight per unit. With a custom unit the cursor grays out to a sum zero symbol and I cannot enter a shipping weight. 

To try to get around this issue I also have already tried changing the unit to ea, entering a shipping weight, saving the entry and then going back in to change the unit back to the custom unit. Doing this sets the shipping weight back to 0.00.
