I am trying to scan the egiftcard barcode or QR code that is on the screen of a phone with a usb scanner connected to the square terminal, but it is not working. The USB scanner is the one that is on the Square website.
Is it the wrong scanner or is there a setting I need to enable?

At first I thought this might be down to brightness adjustments- sometimes, it's hard for a scanner to read a code when the phone's brightness is low. But I realise you're using a Square Terminal, and right now, redeeming gift card balances via QR code or a barcode scanner is only available on iOS devices. I'll pass this feedback on to our team for consideration!
Thank you. I have tried low and high brightness with no success. Also trying QR on the Apple Wallet and barcode in the web based with no success. I did find success with entering the egiftcard number manuall but it is inefficient. I bought the scanner exclusively for scanning egiftcards.
