SSL Connection?

Hi all

I have a domain and SSL certificate with a third party (Bluehost). The domain seems to connect okay to my Square site when I connect it, however when I visit my site, it says it's not secure on the web address?

If I  type in my web address into a new tab, it even comes up telling me to turn back because the website is not secure?

Any help would be much appreciated! I have tried to publish/unpublish, I have tried waiting and nothing is working 😞

Hi @365Nutrition thanks for flagging!

I'd be happy to help, to do so I'll need to take a look at your DNS records.

Please share a link to your site here when you can, I'll keep an eye out for your response!

I had a look at your DNS records on https://who.is/dns/365nutrition.co.uk and both A records appear to be pointing to

Squares IP address which is where they should be.

When did you edit these records @365Nutrition - if it was within the last 48 hours then the not secure message is intended and will drop off after that timeframe.

Thanks for checking, I made the edits last week so it has been longer than 48 hours and we are still seeing that issue with the not secure message unfortunately

Very sorry for the delayed response @365Nutrition

I had another look at your A records and it looks like you actually have one pointing to Square, rather than two.

You will need to add another A record for 365nutrition.co.uk that points to our IP address:

199.34.228.164

You can do this from your Square Online Dashboard. In the Domain section of your Square Online Dashboard, your domain will appear as disconnected.

You can follow the steps here to fully connect it.

Once fully connected, the not secure message will drop off within 24/48 hours.

This isn’t quite right I don’t think. I’ve checked and I already have 2 A records pointing to the Square IP address and the site is fully connected.

I can see both records on my DNS records connected to the site but am still getting the security problems.

we are literally losing business because of this and it’s stressing us out a lot as our reputation is suffering - people think it’s a scam!!!

Previously you have two records pointing to 199.34.228.164 but only one of them was an A record.

There needs to be two A records which I see have been updated now. The site should be fully functional and secure in the next 24 hours.

Hi @Breffni

Once again I’ve waited the stated time and the site is still not showing as secure, if this can’t be resolved I’ll have no choice but to close the account as we just can’t risk the bad reputation it’s giving us with customers. We have already had people block us on social media because when they go on the website they get a nasty warning saying the site is not secure and could steal their details.

I really do need a resolution today or I just cannot risk keeping this open.

thanks

Hi all,

Over the last few weeks I've set up our site with a custom domain which I had at Bluehost. All looked to be going well until I shared the website with the world and people started visiting it.

We had a barrage of messages and emails to say our site was a scam, it was insecure and people thought we were trying to hack them. We have been blocked by people on socials and we are losing our hard earned reputation because of this.

Ive been in contact with support multiple times now and they keep suggesting changes to A records and unpublish/publish the site - none of which has worked and in the meantime more and more people are seeing this horrible message saying we dont have a secure site!

I'm at my witts end here and going to close the square account if this can't be fixed but I wondered if anyone at all has had simlar and managed to resolve it?

TLDR - my site shows as not secure, support have not been able to fix it so I need help!

Domain is www.365nutrition.co.uk and is with Bluehost. Connected successfully, made all the changes to records and still no joy

If you got this far thanks for reading! Any help very welcome!!
