Hi There
My website is not accepting online orders due to the expired SSL Certificate.
See attached pic.
This has disrupted my online orders and resulted in loss of sales.
Please renew the SSL Certificate as soon as possible.
I has a quick look at this for you. I have a hunch this may be DNS related.
I noticed you have correctly configured www.mosaicpizza.com.au to point to the right address, but there is no DNS entry for the root domain (mosaicpizza.com.au). Square online uses auto renewing SSL certificates and i think this may have failed due to the misconfiguration.
Please review the setup for domain here (Set up your domain):
https://squareup.com/help/au/en/article/6916-connect-your-domain-with-square-online-store
You'll notice you need to create a www entry and a root domain entry (the use @ for the A record in this case).
In my experience some domain registrars do not like the @ symbol and prefer either blank or the domain itself (mosaicpizza.com.au).
You need to check this record as it's currently not resolving for me:
So you need to update this record and then use some sort of DNS lookup to check it resolves (like the google tool above).
https://toolbox.googleapps.com/apps/dig/#A/
These changes take a little time to take effect.
As I said, this is a hunch but I've worked a fair bit with these auto renew ssl certificates and think this might be the cause.
Once done, you may need to re-verify the domain setup from the square end, and perhaps re-publish the site.
Hi
Thanks for the reply.
Can you check my screenshot of my domain backend as i believe this is already the case with the 2 DNS entries.
Both the @ and the www exist.
Yeah pretty sure crazy domains is one that lets you use @, but it's not right...
Edit that record, try it blank.. if it wont accept blank just give it the root domain (mosaicpizza.com.au)
Once you have it right, mosaicpizza.com.au should resolve to the correct address...
If you get a chance to update the record, update this thread and I'll check it again for you

DONE
Yes,
That's how it should look.. may take a little while to trickle through.. I'm not sure how to get it to refresh on the square online end (or whether you need to wait). But perhaps you can reverify the DNS setup, and perhaps re-publish the site, failing that, there may just be a small delay while the system picks up the change (much like when you initially set up the domain).
But at least your DNS is correct now.
I have re-published the site but still unsecure.
I'll wait a few hours and try again
Thank you so much for your help.
Could I add a secondary SSL Cert to Domain so I actually have 2??
That's not really a thing.
I think square implements their own SSL certificates using one of the autorenew services. It's no like a normal hosting service where you can purchase and upload your own cert. If it's all configured right, it should just happen in the coming hours (documentation says occasionally it can take 24-48hrs). So if it doesn't resolve itself then I'd be on to square support.
Good luck (I'll keep one eye on it 😜 )
Seems to be fixed! Good to see you up and running (and secure) again..
