I run a boutique website using Square Online, and I’ve had MANY customers complain about something that’s hurting their shopping experience.
When they scroll down my product list and click on an item, then hit the back button, they’re taken all the way back to the top of the page instead of where they left off. This forces them to scroll down again and again, which is super frustrating, especially when they’re browsing lots of products.
This behavior is driving people away from my site, and I’ve already lost sales because of it.
I’m requesting a feature where the website remembers the customer’s scroll position when they hit the back button, so it feels more natural and the customers don’t get frustrated by having to scroll all the way down the page again and again while shopping.
It’s been able 6 months since the last time I requested this and nothing has changed. While I love square, my main goal is to provide my online shoppers with the easiest shopping experience. I know this adjustment would benefit me and so many other online stores.
If there’s a better place for me to request this, please let me know!
Thank you!
Square uses Weebly's framework and loads the product page like a seperate page, unlike Shopify where they preserve the pages state when you click. If you are good at coding or know someone that is and if your template allows custom code upload. You can force the product links to open in a new tab. It's not perfect, but it preserves the page location.
You can also click here to put in for a Feature Request.

I would love to see this feature added as well. In the meantime, it's not a perfect fix, but you can also enable the Quick Shop button on your product images so they can add it without leaving the page.
