My reader/s keep dropping out in the middle of service, it's sort of like a time out but the time is very short, it then won't see the reader (you can see it but no "identify this reader" function) Multiple complete restarts are often required.
Mid service when busy, very annoying version 5.53 I believe

Thanks for the feedback and sorry to hear you're having trouble keeping your reader connected!
Generally readers should automatically reconnect coming out of sleep mode, occasionally you'll be asked to press the button on the reader. Am I to understand in this instance you need manually pair the reader again by going to settings > hardware > Square readers > Connect a reader?
Can you let me know what mobile device and version of the operating system you're using? Are there any other bluetooth devices connected at the same time?
I've not heard of any other recent reports of this so am wondering if it may be happening on certain devices / versions of an OS.
