Product Categories on the shop page

Hi, My name is Penny,  I am currently in the process of building our website.  Right now I am really kind of frustrated.  I build the core site. Added some mock categories, so I could play with stuff and see how things worked.  Now I am starting to enter real products and the categories to go with them.  I deleted the old categories, started adding the new ones with products. 

However, on the webpage the categories are still there.  I made some edits to the new categories, trying to force some changes, published trying to see if that helped, etc.  I manage to add the new categories, but the old one are still there.  Not the whole category menu is messed up.  

How do I get the old ones off the page and the new one on the page.  The old ones not long exists anywhere but on the webpage.  They are not in inventory or categories.

@PennysDream Did you check to see if they still existed in your item categories on dashboard?  If they're still there you can hid them from your site, so they won't show to your customers.  If you deleted them and they are not still listed in your categories try republishing your website.  If none of that works you might have to call or email support to help.categories in dashboard

Hi, thank you for reaching out,  Yeah, no, I had deleted the categories.  Was totally shocked when they were still there.  I even tried putting them back and deleting them again. Didn't work.  One the good side they aren't there 3 times. heheheh

That's definitely a good thing.  Maybe reach out to support and see if they can see it and delete it for you.  It's odd that you can still see it after you've deleted it everywhere.  Usually after republishing everything would be updated.

Hello @PennysDream where on your web page are you seeing the old categories? Are they listed under the page where all items are listed? If it's not too much trouble, maybe delete that page entirely and add the newest categories on that page to display? And you're right, be sure to publish after making any changes...and you may want to try deleting your cookies or refreshing your browser if you still are not seeing the page update.

They are on the Shop All page.  I have not tried deleting the page yet.  I did publish they are still there.
