Prep Time Change

Oh square! Why oh why did y'all change the way the prep time works the week of Christmas (or at least that's when it's being affected). How it was originally, 5 prep days meant if someone ordered on Tuesday, they could pick-up on Saturday. So it counted the day-of. Well it has been updated to make more sense, since Tuesday is 4 days before Saturday. But there was no mention of it. I have all of my Christmas cookie items set to 5 days and sent out a message that today was the last day to order. And folks are calling being confused that it's telling them a day later than Christmas. 

I don't mind updates and changes; just wish there was communication about it. Especially when it's something big like this.

It's also not saving the changes consistently. Some will, but then others won't. So I'm having to update the same item multiple times. Just frustrating when I need to be spending my time working on our Christmas cookie orders and not dealing with last minute technology hiccups.

The developer from the Square Online Team that I spoke to let me know that they can revert back to the previous setup for Prep Time if you'd like to do so. But I let them know that you've already put in the effort to make these updates and the revert would mean that you would have to undo all the work you've already done 😓 

With that being said, I understand if you don't wish to go this route but please let me know! I'll keep an eye out for your reply.

The current version makes more sense so I'll stick with it. It was just a challenge for it to happen this week (or at least when it impacted us). Thank you so much for checking Violet!
