Order with with different date and time in "All Orders" to "Shipment" pages

Yesterday I got an order at about 1:24PM (UK) 11th Feb in orders it can not show it in the right place when ordered by date and puts it between 9th and 10th. On Shipments page it shows it as ordered at 4:45PM on 10th February and thus below the 5:40PM order on the 10th.

I was on to support yesterday who failed to understand the issue for an hour before cutting me off at 5oclock. I manufacture orders in order so need to know the true sequence orders were placed in. This another example at the appalling back of house systems at square and how truely terrible square is. Square can't even record transactions properly for a smal business getting a couple of orders a day at the most.

Has anyone else had an order with 2 dates?

Hi @NTastic,

Thanks again for raising this, and for your patience while I awaited a response.

Our product team took a comprehensive look at this, and confirmed that sorting issues on the Orders tab has been addressed by a fix that was recently deployed.

However, the Shipments tab experience that you raised concerns about is expected behaviour. At this time, the data on the Shipments tab is populated against the date the order is created by the customer (ie. added to the basket), rather than the date the customer completes the order.

Our team has acknowledged that this could potentially cause confusion, and they are currently discussing solutions that could bring better alignment between the two views.

Thank you again for raising this as an area for improvement. I'll keep an eye on that conversation, and let you know of any developments.

Hi @NTastic,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community for clarity on this.

I fully understand your frustration here, and I can see why this would be detrimental to your order processing workflows, particularly if you were to see an increase in order volume.

I’ve gone ahead and reached out to our product team to understand if this is expected behavior, or potentially a bug that needs to be addressed at an account level.

I’ll let you know, as soon as I have an update.

Thank you for getting back to me about this.

I real do not understand what relivance the data for adding to the basket has, it is not an order or a commitment to purchase. The solution is quite simple only one set of data matters and that is when the customer pays.

I'm glad I could provide some clarity at the very least @NTastic.

I'll let you know here if there are any changes, or updates confirmed that may be of interest to you.
