Online store - how to prevent customers ordering when we are closed?

I am trying to see how to disable customers from ordering outside our business hours and days. I can just imagine someone hungrily placing an order for a pizza and not reading the fine print in the pop up that says it will be available the NEXT DAY!.  I don't want to have to do this manually every day. I need to cart to disable or the item to show as not available outside our fulfilllment hours.

This is a basic functionality that needs to be addressed. Immediately before I move providers.

Hey @Ladbroken, thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. I can completely understand why this would be frustrating.

At the moment, there isn’t a way to automatically turn off online ordering outside of business hours. When pickup or delivery is set up with automatic timing, any orders placed after you’ve closed will be scheduled for the next available fulfillment window. I can see how easy it would be to miss that notice, and your concern definitely makes sense.

This is currently a feature gap. One possible workaround is using time-based categories, though I know that doesn’t fully solve what you’re looking for. Your feedback truly matters, and I’d encourage you to share it on the feature request thread so our team can continue to improve this experience.

If there’s anything else I can help with, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
