Online orders not printing ahead of schedule

My online orders are printing only when they are due to be prepared. Until then they are sitting in the scheduled section on my register. I want them to print when the customer places the order regardless of the pickup time.

Hi @Vmpizza

If your orders aren't printing immediately upon being placed, you may need to adjust your Square Online fulfilment settings. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your Square Dashboard and go to Settings > Account & Settings > Fulfilment > Online Pickup & Delivery.
  2. Find your location with Pickup enabled, then click Edit.
  3. Under Do you start preparing orders as soon as they are received?, select I generally start preparing orders as soon as they are received.
  4. For When should pickup & delivery order tickets print?, choose Print order tickets when the order is placed.
  5. Click Save.

If your settings are already configured this way and the issue persists, I recommend contacting our Phone Support Team as there may be other adjustments that need to be made. They can investigate further and escalate your case to our Engineers if necessary.

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!

I too see this with some of my orders not all of my orders. I think it has to do with the customers ability to "schedule" a time vs our always available ordering options. This would be more of a feature request. I would suggest posting on the ideate board. Tag me too because I would also like them to print.

That being said if you mark the order in progress it will print the ticket
