Online Store Event Ticket how do I create time slots?

We run a farm shop with online store.  I'm creating an event (first time) as a Christmas Wreath Workshop.  How do I have different time slots within that Event Ticket?  Any help gratefully received!

Thanks for your question, @LouK!

To add multiple dates to your event, you'll need to set them up as Modifiers. Here's how:

Step 1 - Create your Modifier Set

  1. Sign in to your Square Dashboard, and go to Items & services > Modifiers > Create a modifier.
  2. Enter your Modifier Name (e.g., "Workshop Dates").
  3. Select "List modifier" for the modifier type.
  4. Add your dates as modifiers:
    • "Date 1"
    • "Date 2"
    • "Date 3"
  5. Add stock for each date - this represents your maximum attendees. For example, 10 in stock means a maximum of 10 attendees can register for that specific date.
  6. Toggle on "Require a selection".
  7. Click Save in the top right corner.

Step 2 - Create your Event Item

  1. On your Square Dashboard, go to Items & services > Item library > Create item.
  2. Select "Event" as the Item Type.
  3. Enter your Item Name (e.g., "Christmas Wreath Workshop").
  4. Choose or create a Category that is visible on your online site.
  5. Add your per-ticket Price.
  6. Add your event Location address.
  7. For Date and time: You don't need to add the event date in the initial date field, as you'll use the modifiers for this. You should be able to save the event item without adding a date here.
  8. Under Modifiers, select the "Workshop Dates" modifier set that you created in Step 1.
  9. Click Save in the top right corner.

When customers visit your site, they'll see your event item and will need to select a modifier (workshop date) before placing their order.

Hope this helps! Please reach out if you have any other questions. ๐Ÿ˜Š

We handle this with TicketsCandy. You can set one event and add multiple time slots or sessions under it, each with its own capacity. Weโ€™re fully integrated with Square, so payments sync cleanly, and you get full control without hacks or workarounds )
