Online Order Notifications, Audible and Visual

Saw a thread posted in 2020 about an audible notification when an online order is received. That sounds good and I wonder if that feature has been added since then. My hope was that I could develop an app that would query the database where online sales transactions for a store are saved. Depending on what data is available, new transactions, fulfilled transactions, etc, etc, perhaps one or more queries would produce a number and that number could be displayed on a wall mounted sign.  A query like "How many pending transactions?" or "How many completed transactions?" might be made once per minute and the result translated to a number on a digital sign. More complicated than a register making an audible noise when a new online order is received but the sign would be more noticeable and useful.
