This one was a strange occurrence.
My online store is completely set to pick-up and local delivery ONLY. Somehow this evening a customer in Arizona was able to bypass my delivery option and set up for shipping. I don't have shipping set up for our store yet, I tested the site myself and couldn't reenact it.
Is this a one time glitch? I'm worried this will continue and I'll have to process returns and risk getting bad online reviews. I've checked my settings and "shipping" is not selected anywhere.
I noticed that one of our online orders yesterday had one 1 of the 4 items marked for shipment, the other 3 were for pickup. Not sure how they did that, I wrote it off as a one-time thing but now your post has me concerned.
Hey @ddps211!
Thanks for posting in the Seller Community.
Can you provide your URL and the item they were able to do this with?
I would check all of your items and confirm that their fulfillment does not include shipment.
Isabelle thank you for your reply
It JUST happened again now, and prior to I did check all my settings and made sure only pick up and local delivery was set. Only thing I can think of is when I took the step to sign up with a UPS account to explore the possibility of setting up shipping, but I checked and I didn't set ANYTHING to authorize shipping.
my URL is https://www.desertdogpetstore.com/
The first item ordered as shipping was Purevita Salmon Dog Food on Sunday Dec 13
The second JUST happened today Tuesday Dec 15 for Professional Chicken & Peas Dog Food, the customer said she was trying to use Google Pay or Apple Pay and it automatically defaulted her to shipping as the only option.
If I am missing a section to edit settings for this please let me know! My employee and I are working from home due to quarantine so it's making it difficult to monitor, track and relay changes to our delivery team.
Got it. Thank you @ddps211!
I checked with our Square Online team, and they determined that this isn't an error they were familiar with.
Would you mind giving us a call so we can file a ticket with our Engineering Team to look into it further?
Feel free to circle back to this thread with any of your findings.
