Notification for Estimate Time

Why Square does not send out estimate time update/notification via email? Why only text message???

I know customers receive time update ONLY IF they put their cellphone number as a way of contact. We recently found out about this, and until then we assumed they get an email as a primary notification, not a text.

 

We had so many issues because customers did not put their cellphone number in. When they come in to pick up the orders and told them that we updated the time, they complain that they didn’t receive anything about the update and they end up having to wait extra time. I’m sure my store is not the only store having this issue.
