Not able to take Payments Online

I have a shift4shop site and now I am unable to accept credit card payments using Square as my credit Card Processor.  Shift4Shop is saying Square updated something as of 10-31-2022 which messed things up, and I see I have new versions of my Website yesterday and today from Shift4Shop.  Which leads me to think they did something since this problem seems to have started yesterday at 3pm according to shift4shop tech support.   

They say they are working with Square to get this resolved.   

Now my Question is why do you keep messing with things that work?  What was changed as of 10-31-2022 that would mess up you being able to accept credit card sales?

Anyone else having Issues?

I checked Down Detector and saw multiple issues that Square is not able to accept these credit card payments from other webhosts also which is leading me to think it is a Square Issue and not a SHift4Shop issue.   Shift4shop has now invited me to transfer my credit card processing to them,  which might be what I need to do and they also can offer a POS system also for inside sales not just online.   I just do NOT want to switch right before the Holidays and try learning and transferring everything to a new system.   

Why would Square do this right before the Holidays??????
