Newly listed items are showing as out of stock!

I am tearing my hair out with this issue.

All newly listed items are showing as out of stock even though they are listed as being in stock.

Increasing the stock count doesn't make any difference, they are still showing as out of stock.

This is ridiculous!  I have never experienced this issue with any other platform!

Does Square have a widespread technical issue with this?  What is going on?!

Hello @Poppy7 !

A lot of times Out of Stock issues happen when there are fulfillment mismatches on your page. Please check to see if the new items you added have the same fulfillment types as your site is expecting. As an example, if you have an item that has shipping as a fulfillment but the site isn't configured for shipping, these errors can occur.

After that, be sure that each item's Item Type matches what is the usual on your website. The Other item type can be problematic.

If that's not the issue, please reply with your website address so we can take a look from a customer standpoint and try to figure things out.

That is not the issue.

The issue is something going wrong in the backend, because today, newly listed items are showing as in stock, as they should be, and all of the newly listed items that were showing as out of stock yesterday are now showing as in stock, as they should be.

Square clearly has a technical issue with the stock system that they need to investigate.

@Poppy7I'd have to agree with you then that there's something going wrong with the Square Online side of things then, especially if your troubles disappeared a day later. And you're not alone: I'm involved in two other discussions in the community about essentially the same thing.

Hopefully someone from the engineering team is paying attention to these conversations!

@Poppy7 Are you still experiencing some items listed as out of stock? If so, could you please share a few example items along with your website URL so I can investigate further?
