It takes many years of hard work and making contacts, eventhough the website may appear instantly overnight. And there are many avenues to reach customers depending on what kind of business you are in; are you a restaurant, craftsperson, retail store, service provider etc.?
Can you share what industry your business covers so members in the Square Community could tailor their suggestions? You'll get better help if you can be a bit more specific about your business goals too. The first suggestion I always offer is to make sure you are reaching potential customers in your local community. It's nearly impossible to gain new customers in other parts of the country/world if you're building a website from scratch. You also have to learn and understand about website SEO. I'm not sure why you are having foreign men "hitting on you"...perhaps there is something in your advertising/web site that includes too much personal information. If you are marketing your business, in most cases your personal information isn't required to be shown.Especially on Facebook, you should not market your business on your PERSONAL Facebook page; you are able to create a separate BUSINESS page in Facebook for marketing your business, and unless you choose, you do not have to post personal info or pictures on that Business page.
