I have a Square account.
I wish to branch out and link to a website.
I am going to purchase a Personal Domain and link an email address to it.
1) Which is the most realistic online plan to open?
If I open a Business Plan:
2) Will I be able to link the Personal Domain to the Business Plan?
3) Will I be able link the Library on my Terminal (At Craft Fayres) to the Business plan?
4) Will the Business plan update live?
Bill
Thanks for getting back to me with a detailed description of the issue you've experienced, @wmck666! Glad to hear you've selected a Square Online plan that best suits your needs, too 😊
With regards to starting your website from scratch, I don't think it's necessary in your case if you are just wanting to switch templates. To switch templates, you'll start by heading over to your online store editor by going Square Online overview > Website> Edit Site. Click the Pages drop-down in the top left-hand corner, find the Category Pages section, click the three dots, then select Switch template. In this case, I think the Order Online template would best suit your business needs (cool looking pens, by the way!).
However, if you do wish to start your website from scratch, you can reset your website completely to its default by going to Square Online Overview > Website > Site preferences > Reset to Default.
Let me know if that was the information you were looking for. If not, let me know, I'd be happy to be of further assistance to you 😁
Hey @wmck666, thanks for posting! I'd be happy to help.
What exactly do you mean when you say Business Plan? If you are referring to our plan for using Square Online, you'll need to subscribe to Square Online's Professional Plan in order to be able to purchase and use a custom domain. You can also set up an email address based on that domain. Learn more about getting started with Google Workspace for Square Online for more information on setting up your own custom email address. Learn more about Square Online's plans & pricing.
I'm not too sure what you mean by the 3rd question. Your item library created on your Square Dashboard will automatically sync over to your Square Terminal, giving you easy access to all the items and services for you to sell. Additionally, the items you created will sync over to your Square Online website automatically too. You do not need to upgrade to any plan to have access to this feature.
I'm not sure I fully understand the 4th question either. Could you provide a little more information about this query when you have a moment? This will help me better answer your question. Thanks!
Hi Skyler,
Sorry for delay in replying, I've been preparing for my next craft fayre on Saturday.
I should have used the term Professional not Business.
I have updated to Professional and purchased a domain and email address :"[email protected]"
I have made things difficult for myself by choosing the wrong template to start with.
I am using the following link to get into editing the website that I have:
https://square.online/app/home/users/140099176/sites/9373[Redacted]3147/dashboard#_=_
But I am sure that there is a better way.
To view my website I use:
I would like to restart from scratch an choose a better set of templates that will allow me to display a larger number of the pens that I have for sale on the same page with smaller photographs.
Could you advise how to restart from scratch please.
Bill

I replied the day I received your most helpful response, but it would not send.
I am making some progress BUT😪:
I purchased and registered my new domain (ldwoodworker.co.uk) and email address ([email protected]) using this PC.
I cannot log on to my dashboard on any other machine (i.e. my laptop).
I am unable to use [email protected] or [email protected]
Any guidance?
Hey @wmck666, thanks for getting back to me. Let's see if we can get this resolved for you.
With regards to the email and login, have you been able to log in to your account on any other device, such as the app or Square Terminal? If so, are you able to check which email you signed in with? There could be a typo made in the email address you changed to.
As for the email notifications, I'd recommend checking the same as above. If the email address you've put in in your Square Online Settings doesn't match the email address in the settings in your Dashboard, it can cause issues where your email notifications are sent. Do bear in mind that emails are case-sensitive.
Let me know if the above helps. I'd be happy to further investigate if the issue persists.
I don’t think you are correct is saying that email addresses are case sensitive
Hi Skyler,
A little more information regarding the email addresses.
I have set up a "Contact us form" which on testing sends to the old address [email protected] and not the new correct address of [email protected].
Any suggestions how I can correct this?
Hi. To change the email address for your Contact Form:
Dashboard / Online / Website / Edit Site
Click on the Contact Form section
Settings / Form Settings / Email Notification
