Hi there! So initially my square site mainly functioned as my wholesale site - then when the pandemic hit and all of our events were cancelled, I remade the site into a retail site. At the time, I was told you couldn't do multiple sites, but it looks like that has changed. I had been giving my wholesale accounts a coupon that unlocked the discount for them, but it wasn't perfect because I had to trust the customer to also enter the right quantity/MOQ, etc - and when I started tracking inventory on some items - if I didn't have enough retail stock, it wouldn't let them buy what was needed. But I can't keep a large quantity of all of my products in stock just for possible wholesale orders (best for me to make/create on demand).
But as I said, it looks like I can create a second site now. My question is - can I import items from my other site AND then alter them so that there's no inventory tracking and the quantities are set for wholesale ordering WITHOUT altering the initial item that's back in my retail site? So will it set up a duplicate item page unique to the new site, or do both sites pull from the same item, so changing the item specs in the second site screws up the first one?
