More Square bugs - hanging in web payment JS sdk

We have had the Square web payment sdk employed for several years. This is the library that links into websites using the following js script:

https://web.squarecdn.com/v1/square.js

As of about a week ago (maybe a little more), we have been seeing issues where calls to tokenize (from window.Square.payments(…).card(…).tokenize) are hanging. I created a video showing this behavior in the square.js script, stepping through the developer tools from Chrome:

I suspect that something in this script has changed in the last couple weeks.

Same for me. From 20 Dec. window.Square.payments(…).card(…).tokenize() method are hanging
