We’re running a popup kitchen inside a busy bar in Downtown Vancouver. Our setup is a little unique, and we’re looking for a Kitchen Display System (KDS) solution that can pull in orders from both Square and Toast into one single device/view.
Here’s the situation:
Square handles all of our online + 3rd party delivery orders, with Deliverect helping to aggregate the delivery platforms. (we keep Square because we love Square and its our POS for all catering and events we do)
Toast is used by our business partners (the bar) to process all in-house dine-in orders.
We are currently manually re-entering Toast orders into Square just so they show up on our Square KDS – this is:
Time-consuming
Error-prone
Not scalable
What we need:
A KDS solution (hardware/software combo is fine) that can pull orders from both Square and Toast
Cloud-based or tablet-friendly would be perfect
Must be real-time or near real-time to keep up with our pace
If anyone knows a system, middleware, or even a custom solution that can bridge these two, I’d love to hear it. Open to vendors too!
