Hey everyone,
I just started drop shipping. Any guidance or feedback would be appreciated. I don't know many people that are using square for drop shipping.
HI, there may be many sellers utilizing some sort of dropshipping feature. Dropshipping is a simple form of a business providing inventory to a person to sell. Walmart "dropships", if you search their platform, select Retailer you will see thousands of items provided to Walmart with Walmart not having any direct selling of that item. Simple dropship inventory one-by-one must be closely monitored as to not sell something that is out of stock. If you can integrate the inventory directly with the provider, then the provider monitors inventory. It can work and has worked on many platforms.
Thank you for the information. I will keep working on it.
How were you able to add drop shipping? I was told we can’t on Square. I am so 🫤
HI, example, if you are using Amazon listings and their shipping to sell your "inventory" then no.
If you have a legitimate inventory provider, you are an authorized distributor with an account directly with the provider, then yes.
It did & thank you! 😊
Wait, so... you mean if other people wanted to sell my items posted on their website, they won't be able to?!
I was just going to ask if Square can interact with DropShipping!!!!
Unless they changed things it looks like for Drop Shipping Square partners with Sprocket.

The biggest issue with running a legitimate drop shopping company is finding companies that can deliver the products in a timely manner. You still also run the risk of porch pirates, lost packages, scammers, and more that require you to absorb a lot of costs as the front "seller" even if you aren't shipping the products yourself, it's still your reputation on the line.
If you're new to drop shipping I highly recommend setting realistic expectations, because there are a lot of people that push drop shipping as easy or highly lucrative (much like the affiliate marketing folks that you constantly see now), when the reality is you need to find the right product at the right time and even one junk product can cause a lot of issues.
If you have any questions regarding products or manufacturers let me know, there's a lot of fly by night operations out there and that's where it gets risky.
Best of luck! Just take your time when it comes to product selection, it's so tempting to just add as many products as possible but it's better to take your time and be highly selective when it comes to product selection.
