I have added a new item to my library list for my POS and also my website.
It shows on my website IF you search for it, but not under the category it should be in.
On my library it shows correctly but not my website. I havent had this issue before.....
@808Sweetshack Categories online are different than the categories in the POS. What you need to do is go into the online dashboard ---> items ---> categories ---> and add the item to that category. You can also add it to a category if you load the item in the square online dashboard and scroll down and add category.
It is a quirk where the 2 systems have been integrated over time and is getting better, but the category thing is still different currently.

Wow! 😶. I was searching for another issue and came across this [old] post and am extremely surprised to see that this issue has been around for so many years and still is not resolved.
This issue of a lack of sync between the POS and online platforms is an absolute nightmare to deal with. It makes the admin of the platform(s) experience very poor and is a huge negative point for the product.
Perhaps I will raise a feature request to get proper syncing between the categories between POS and online platforms. Really the whole online administration is a real headache -- so many duplicate toggles for visibility, categories, etc between the platforms it is a terrible experience and almost unusable.
