I currently use Square POS for my spa boutique business. I use it for both my retail/products and services. I am currently trying to up my online retail sales and came across a few articles on Google product listings, Square Retail and Square Retail Free. I'm a bit confused about it and not really sure if this is the direction I need to be on . Can anyone shed a little more light on this for me?
Hi @BXgirl72,
Thanks for writing in! This is a great question 🙂
Square for Retail is ideal if you're looking for advanced inventory management features, exchanges on your Point of Sale, or want to print barcode labels. Square for Retail Free is a paired back version, which still offers great functionality for inventory tracking. You can compare the difference between the two here. The Square for Retail app is downloadable from the App Store, or Play Store, and is more geared towards a retail store, than our standard Point of Sale app.
There's a free 30 day trial for Square for Retail so you can test it out before committing. Also take a a look at get this started guide for more information.
Please let us know if you have any further questions, we're happy to help!
Thank you!
I use Square retail for the reports. I'm a numbers girl and I like being able to see projected and actual numbers....
