Is Marketing available for opt-in for classes and appointments in Canada?

Hello,

Wondering if this is available on the Canadian Square platform? I only found threads for the UK.

Allowing customers to opt-in for Marketing on the booking checkout page for classes and appointments/services?

Great question.😃

Currently, the option to let customers opt-in for marketing communications directly on the booking checkout page is available only in certain regions, including the UK. As of now, this feature isn’t yet supported on the Canadian Square platform.

That said, Square is always working to expand features and improve the booking experience across all regions. I recommend keeping an eye on our updates or subscribing to Square’s release notes to be notified when new features become available in Canada.

You can, if you'd like! I believe (but do not quote me on this) it has to do with the Canadian Anti Spam Legislation that heavily regulates text message marketing. 

Square Assistant may be of use to you though. You can check out this article here. 

Square Assistant is an automated tool that helps you manage your business and customer communications. For example, Square Assistant can send SMS appointment reminders. Once received, your customers can confirm, reschedule, or cancel upcoming appointments without having to contact you directly. Square Assistant will then automatically update your Square Appointments calendar to save you time managing your appointments.
