How to remove PayPal icon from checkout screen

How can I remove the PayPal icon from the bottom of the checkout page?  I have PayPal disconnected as a payment choice and so customers cannot use it to pay, but the icon remains at the bottom of the checkout page along with all of the other payment icons and is confusing my customers as it looks like a payment option.
