I sell products that contain nicotine and would like to display them on my Square site. Iโve set up the items and turned โAccept Online Ordersโ to OFF, but the product variations (flavors) are not showing on the site.
Is there a way to configure the items so that customers can see all the variations, while still preventing online checkout?
Hi, @wiseanttech_m ! ๐
I have a couple workarounds for this that I am going to outline below. These are going to be the best options for seeing all of your variations.
Option 1: Use Descriptions to Manually List All Variants
You can manually list flavors, strengths, or sizes in the item description. For example:
Available Flavors:
โ flavor 1
- flavor 2
- flavor 3
- flavor 4
Strengths: 3%, 5%
This doesnโt allow selection, but it clearly shows options without enabling checkout.
Option 2: Use Modifier-Style Display in the Item Image or Layout
You can also create a custom image or graphic that shows the full range of flavors and strengths in a grid format. Upload it as the main image on the product page so customers can easily view options.
Or, if you want more structure:
Duplicate the item and name it by variation (e.g., โNicotine Vape โ Mintโ, โNicotine Vape โ Mangoโ)
Group them under a single custom category (like โNicotine Productsโ)
This lets customers see the variations, even though they canโt add them to cart.
I hope this helps!
